OC After Party

December 4, 2007 at 8:15 pm (Uncategorized)

Yeah, if you’ve been talking to Jill and I about the wedding, you’d know that it’s going to be a smaller, family wedding. Although we have plenty o’ friends (we’re so cool…) to go around, we decided to keep it small for the ceremony. We took it out of state so no one will try and sneak in and crash the party (again, too many friends…we don’t know what to do).

In all seriousness, we don’t want to leave our friends back in Cali hanging. We will be having an after party here at home. The location is yet to be determined. But rest assured, if you are one of the lucky few who doesn’t have to travel to Florida, in the heat of the summer, sweat your butt off, while wearing a suit, on the beach…you will be partying with us soon.

Thank you all for your support regardless of where you are.

Wedding Party

December 4, 2007 at 7:58 pm (Uncategorized)

Below are the people who, believe it or not, have willingly subjected theirselves to enduring a long sweaty ceremony on the coast of Florida. I honestly don’t know why they want to…weirdos. Just kiddin… In all seriousness though, click on their names, get to know them, and let Jill and I know if you approve or not. (We can still kick them out of the wedding party you know…)

Ceremony Location

Our ceremony will take place at Whitney Beach on Longboat Key, FL. Whitney is a public beach located near the north end of the island across from the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce. Fortunately, there is ample parking at the beach and not much of a walk to worry about.

Places To Stay

November 25, 2007 at 3:56 pm (Uncategorized)

Hilton Longboat Key Beachfront Resort
4711 Gulf of Mexico Drive
Longboat Key, FL 34228-2103
(941) 383-2451
Reservations (800) 282-3046

The Hilton is where Jill and I recommend our guests stay while in town. It is centrally located on the island and is very close to where Jill and I will be staying all week. Did I mention it’s on the beach?

Casa Del Mar
4621 Gulf of Mexico Drive
Longboat Key, FL 34228-2101
(941) 383-1716
Reservations (941) 383-5549

Casa Del Mar is where Jill and I and the wedding party will be staying for the week of June 1st. Jill and I have stayed here in the past and the weekly rented condos are a blast to stay at. Also highly recommended, but they sell out fast…

Here is a link to a list of other accomodation choices on the island:

Whitney Beach

November 24, 2007 at 8:15 am (longboat key, wedding) (, )

Welcome to the world of Jill and Mike as the wedding details develop! The locale, date and time have been decided for this destination wedding! Join us in planning for June 7, 2008! This weblog is intended to share the creation of our upcoming wedding ceremony and dinner reception. We choose to have our wedding on the soft white sands of Longboat Key, Florida. We have a family history on Longboat Key of fun, good eats, relaxation and beautiful views. We hope that our wedding ceremony and dinner reception can offer our guests those same qualities. After visiting Longboat Key this week, I know we could not have picked a better location. Longboat Key is the perfect place for a Mike&Jillesqe wedding.
